We’re going on a 30 day live event bender!

Kicking off this Friday the 22nd with Tucson artist KARIMA WALKER and her unique soundscapes at the super historic San Miguel Chapel in Santa Fe. This is a really great chance to experience the special acoustics at the San Miguel, whose foundations stretch back to the 16th century. Karima’s music, influenced by a background in sound design, is perfect for its wondrous confines.  Limited space and tickets going pretty quickly so grab one before they’re gone: Karima Walker Tickets

THEN, next Friday the 29th we return to our Garage Rock roots with a 3 band rager at hidden party redoubt LEAF & HIVE.  Joining us are Denver’s TUFF BLUFF, Albuquerque’s SWEET NOTHIN, and Santa Fe’s own LUNA MUERTE featuring our own JONO on drums!  Show starts at 8 and it’s a small space so get there early if you want to get in! Event invite: Tuff Bluff @ Leaf & Hive

On August 4th, it’s the next edition of our movie series called CCA Amplified, happening at CCA on Old Santa Fe Trail– and it’s a DOOZY. We’re screening the rarely seen, and totally bizarre, NEIL YOUNG-directed HUMAN HIGHWAY (1982) featuring DEVO, Dennis Hopper and more! This movie was partly shot at the Taos Pueblo so there’s even a New Mexico connection! Trust us– if you haven’t seen this, you won’t want to miss what is probably one of the weirdest movies ever made.  Get your tickets: Human Highway @ CCA

On Saturday August 6th, our own DJ SHIMMY returns to the wheels of steel for the first time in months (!!!), guesting with local killer DJ Christina Swilley at Palace Prime (in the courtyard) ! We’ll be spinning SIXTIES soul music from 8 to 12am! DRESS COOL, OK?

Then on Sunday, August 14th, we’re back at our favorite outdoor music venue, TUMBLEROOT, with a honky tonk dance two-fer! Headlining is SOUTH TEXAS TWEEK. a killer full band with great tunes from Brazoria County, Texas! Plus opening up (and no slouch themselves) it’s GREG BUTERA and his Gunsels! Get them tickets fast, son–>> South Texas Tweek @ Tumbleroot
