It’s been two weeks since the New Mexico Governor and Department of Health issued the Stay at Home order. Needless to say, we’re still closed to the public and the order has now been extended to April 30th.

Here’s what we’re doing in the meantime…

We’ve now applied for 3 different loans to keep the store going through this difficult time. We haven’t heard anything aside from “application accepted”.

We’ve added our website to www.buynmlocal.com which is a site set up to support New Mexico online businesses.

We’ve listed a number of more obscure items on both eBay and Discogs (note that we have somewhat different stock on each platform).

We’re also accepting orders through the phone at 505-310-6389, or through the contact form on the website. As of now, we’re able to order most music that’s in print and we’ve got 3000+ vintage LPs in backstock. We can ship an LP for $5 +$2 each additional or deliver within a 7 mile radius of the shop if you order over $50.

We’re still offering discounted gift certificates on the website as well as Lost Padre T-Shirts.

There’s also a very cool & unique way to support the shop AND see a new vinyl documentary called VINYL NATION premiering April 18-19 online. The filmmakers are donating 100% (!!!) of the ticket sales to record stores. You can buy tickets at this link ($11.49 including service fee): Vinyl Nation tickets. Teaser trailer below…

Finally, in other less dramatic news, we managed to make it into the newspaper without even being open 🙂 here’s an image from April 7’s Santa Fe New Mexican…
